Fruit of a flowering jungle orchid, real vanilla is an exotic culinary delight and is highly sought after by the worlds top pastry chefs. Each pod comes from a hand polinated flower making it the most labour intensive spice to produce.

Tahitian vanilla aroma is flowery, fruity and anisic with a smooth flavor. They are often described as smelling like licorice, cherries, or wine.
